LX-430T is a novel UV light shielding agent derived from vanillin. It has a very high absorbance in the UV-A band. Therefore, with only 750 ppm of UV-A absorption in 1mm thick PET, LX-430T can block all UV-A light up to 400 nm. Its shielding effectiveness at 400 nm is five times that of commonly used UV shielding agents. LX-430T also has minimal impact on initial color.
