UV-1164 is a hydroxyphenyltriazine-based UV absorber that absorbs UV light in the 280-380 nm range, with peak absorption at 293 nm and 342 nm. It features excellent compatibility, low volatility, durability, low migration, thermal stability, and high absorption efficiency. It also exhibits long-lasting absorption and resists metal ion complexation.

Applications & Additives

Suitable for polyesters, polyamides, polyetheramines, polyoxymethylene, acrylates, and ABS resins, particularly for transparent and translucent engineering plastics, as well as PA, PP, PE, PET, and PMMA films, sheets, and plates. Recommended dosage: 0.2-0.4% for polyethylene; 0.15-0.3% for polycarbonate; and 0.1-0.5% for ABS resin.

Suitable for polyoxymethylene, polyamides, polycarbonates, polyethylene, polyetheramines, ABS resins, and polymethyl methacrylate. It is particularly suitable for nylon and engineering plastics.
